A.I. a good film.

In my opinion a great, and interesting film is AI (artificial intelligence) directed by the experimented Stanley Kubrick and the Midas king of Hollywood Steven Spielberg this movie is about a new type of android that has the ability of love. This story is set in a near future, where the global warming has led to ecological disasters all over the world, and a drastic reduction of the human population for this reason the Cybertronics company create droids with different characteristics like prostitute droids or droids with the boy appearance in this context a family lost his first and unique son and try to replace him with a droid that’s the beginning of the story. I remember that I saw this film alone last year and when I saw this film I was surprised because this film is about science fiction but the argument is very realistic because I think in some decades this could be real and maybe machines shall replace us. Carry on with the story the droid kid called David conquest the heart of Monica; David’s adopted mother he has a good life with another droid with the appearance of a teddy bear called Teddy after a short time the real son of the family recover his health and he become jealous about David and a very sad story continues…better watch it.

english task:summarize news

original:
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan picked the wrong day to inject realism into his £200m takeover of Manchester City. "We are building a structure for the future, not just a team of all-stars," said the Arab billionaire on completion of the due diligence process yesterday, having heeded the scorn that greeted the transfer wishlist divulged on deadline day. He may be too late, for Mark Hughes' team have already begun to indulge in fantasy.

In contrast to the new owner, City chose the perfect time to impress a gallery with global domination on the mind. Before Khaldoon Al Mubarak, who will become City's new chairman when Sheikh Mansour's takeover is formally concluded tomorrow, and Thaksin Shinawatra, the outgoing owner who will stay on as honorary president, Hughes' team excelled against Portsmouth to record their biggest Premier League win. The men from Abu Dhabi hope to establish a gulf between their new investment and the rest in years to come. But one was very evident here.

Whether it was City's magnificence or Portsmouth's appalling display that produced this mauling divided the respective managers as deeply as the goal count. "That was the best performance I've managed by a country mile," said Hughes. "We were poor. Our defensive play was abysmal," said a shell-shocked Harry Redknapp. The truth, as always, is somewhere in between and yet there was no mistaking the potent cocktail of City's Brazilian technique and home-grown strength and spirit. The result was unbridled joy for the City faithful as Robinho illuminated their afternoon with a performance of technique and no little effort, and Hughes substituted the British record signing, his compatriot Jo and the outstanding Stephen Ireland simply so all three could enjoy standing ovations.

"If ever there was a day to impress people this was the one," remarked the City manager. "We did that and more. From start to finish the desire and determination in our play, the ability to pick the right pass and to create chances was evident. It was a fantastic team performance, with some brilliant individual displays from Stephen Ireland, Robinho, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Vincent Kompany. We have set a high standard with this performance and the aim is to strive to even greater heights." Talk of Champions League qualification will not sound so fanciful if they do.

Portsmouth were 3-0 victors at Everton on their last away trip but were made to look a shambles as City comprehensively clicked for the first time since Abu Dhabi money transformed their bank balance and ambitions. Hughes's side were superior in every department, their defence immune to the errors that swiftly undermined Portsmouth's game plan, the midfield blessed with greater understanding and invention and, as befitted their billing, the Brazilian strike force of Jo and Robinho leading the visitors' rearguard on an irrepressible dance. For David James, Sol Campbell and Sylvain Distin this was 90 minutes on the rack.

Robinho instigated the rout with a delightful pass that released Jo behind the visiting defence, took him around James and saw him convert into an empty net. The England goalkeeper's afternoon plummeted thereafter. James's failure to deal with an Elano corner to his near post enabled Richard Dunne to bundle in a second and the game was effectively up after only 20 minutes. The first "Olés" were heard five minutes later. Portsmouth had their chances either side of the interval, Jermain Defoe squandering a glorious invitation seconds after the restart, but they did not get the run of the ball or display any resilience. City's movement and work ethic produced an exhibition.

Ireland's tenacity and then vision produced Robinho's second successive goal at home for his new club, via Jo, before the midfielder's measured pass enabled Wright-Phillips to beat James at his near post. A backheel from Wright-Phillips gave the young substitute Ched Evans his first goal for the club and the England winger was heavily involved in City's sixth when he challenged James for Javier Garrido's left-wing cross and Gelson Fernandes converted the loose ball. The only problem for Hughes is having to tell his new employers that not every day is like this at City, although Sheikh Mansour appears to be learning fast after announcing to the world that Cristiano Ronaldo et al would be on their way in January.

The sheikh added: "We are ambitious for the club, like you, but not unreasonably so and we understand it takes time to build a team capable of sustaining a presence in the top four of the Premier League and winning European honours." It is performances and victories such as this that bring clarity to such lofty ambitions.

Man of the match Stephen Ireland
City's stand-out summer signings, the Brazilian Robinho and Shaun Wright-Phillips, again impressed but it was the unsung Ireland who dictated the flow of the game with a committed and inventive display

Best moment The Republic of Ireland midfielder's threaded pass that enabled Wright-Phillips to score City's fourth goal
Summary:
Timing is perfect as City's Arab owners thrill to joy of six.

The city’s Arab owners are very happy because the city defeated Portsmouth with a categorical 6-0 at last the impressive inversions nearest to 300 million dollars with players like Robinho, Shaun right-phillips, and the historic Stephen Ireland shows a great performance in attack, the defenders Sol Campbell and Sylvain Distin were outstanding and the goalkeeper David James show his quality looking how robinho and his friends trhashed Portsmouth.
The sheikh added: "We are ambitious for the club, like you, but not unreasonably so and we understand it takes time to build a team capable of sustaining a presence in the top four of the Premier League and winning European honours." If the city shows the same or average performance probably the Manchester united will be in danger…maybe and the sheikh will be very pleased.

Being Chilean: Fiestas Patrias.

Being Chilean is very difficult we always have troubles in the football soccer an example is the defeat last Sunday 0-3 before the Brazilian selection but not only this meant to be Chilean, we have a lot of traditions and the greatest is the Fiestas Patrias or independence day, colloquially called by the Chileans “el dieciocho” this special week, yes!! Is a week of celebrations, even when “el dieciocho” is in a bad date for example Tuesday the politician vote immediately to create a public holiday to prolong “el dieciocho” , I wonder why this people vote immediately this type of things but when they must vote a essential law they create a lot of obstacles.

The typical Chileans always go to “fondas”; a type of tent where the people can dance the typical Chilean dance called “la cueca” as well we can eat a lot of things like enpanadas or anticuchos and obviously drink a big glass of chicha, I remember when I was a child that sometimes I go with my parents to the Fonda in Parral but I always fall asleep for this reason my parents usually went alone.

In this time I’ll have my vengeance and I will do what I want maybe go to the fonda or go to my relatives, have some fun, make a good barbecue and put on weight or perhaps stayed in my home alone studying for the exams.
I don’t have a special “dieciocho” because in my opinion each new dieciocho could be better.

My possible future.

Well I always have the same problem when somebody ask me this type of questions but I always answer different for this reason in my opinion I think that in 5 years later I will be Living in another country, and maybe studying another career or studying a post grade but I believe that I could be working for a public sector company or for an university, I am not sure right now.
Ideal future.
I do not have a ideal future but the only thing that I can say is that in the future I would like to be happy and I can not define what kind of life will bring me happier sometimes I think that living in the countryside far away from civilization living like a hunter, fishing, cutting firewood, in short living a simple life but this is only an aspiration because I know that this type of life can not be possible in these days , I believe.

Learning English: my experience.

Well my experience learning English was when I went to the kindergarten called wendolin this time was the first that I began to learn English in this period I was 3 years old and I can’t remember who was my first teacher.

In my opinion the first time that I learned English really was when I won a grant sponsored by the ministry of education and then I really learned English in an institute called I.L.S that mean international language service this happened when I was nine years old, I remember a lot of teachers but specially Mr. John Penhollow with him I learned the base of my current English.

In the beginning I like a lot to learn English because always I had a special talent to learn other languages in the school this subjects was the better mark like an A+ in Chile a 7 but when the English course was more difficult I had serious problems to made compatible the primary and secondary with the English course an for this simple reason I began to hate the English, till I finished the English course this happen when I was fourteen years old.

I like to learn with a teacher and practicing whit my classmates but when I learned better is when I listen English music and especially when I played pc games in English with subtitles, so I can say that I am a cyber learner.

I think that is difficult understand the different accents of the English speakers, in this moment the only person that that speak in English is my teacher Simon, in my case English is very useful because there are a lot of texts, books, games, TV series, works, papers that are in English and the only solution is speak English and for this in my opinion English is fundamental.

My Blogging Experience

In my point of view the experience of blogging was very interesting because I didn’t like this type of e-learning but in this case I must recognize that in this time my experience was dissimilar because I have a few troubles to do the assigned task because I have not internet connection and I dislike specially that kind of learning, I like to learn in the classroom with my classmates talking in the moment.

I’m not sure if this blogging experience helped me to learn English because I think that I can learn more looking a film or listening a track but sincerely I consider that this experience could give me the knowledge to be a better and faster writer, as well as I improve my vocabulary, and my tolerance to write long and difficult posts I think…

My favorite post was the post about “my favorite English song” for the simple reason that I like a lot English songs, like “what it takes” of AEROSMITH, because I always liked the English song spirit specially the classic rock essence and only for this reason this post is the best; on the contrary my least beloved post was the post about BBC learning English for the reason that I haven’t a good experience with the web page of BBC because when I tried to download a video it takes a lot of time but I think that it wasn’t problem of the page but the computer was the responsible of this problem.

In my modest opinion I believe that the best blog in the class is undoubtedly the best blog is the joy’s blog because it’s a very funny blog whit a great creativity, whit a little irony and a big imagination that teach me a lesson of how to make a funny and clever blog.

Why?Why?Why?Why?Why?Why?Why?

Why are you studying Geography? Why did you decide to study Geography?

I am studying geography because when I was a teenager I have not idea to what I shall study in the future because in the secondary I have good marks in different areas of study; like Physics or history and that was my dilemma, so when I took the PSU, I had a good score and I analyzed different careers but when I saw the geography study program I decide study geography because it has a mix of different subjects, very dissimilar like English, math or epistemology.

What will you are doing (professionally) in 10 years time?

In the future, I haven’t idea if I will use my academic grade or my profession (geographer) because in this time I have the serious conviction of study another career in the near future perhaps I shall study a career very different like laws or some similar of geography it could be geophysics for all this I have a uncertain future.

How can geographers help save the planet?
In my opinion there was a mistake with this question, because I have the opinion that geography only it could be used like a tool that combined whit other techniques or sciences will be a help to save the planet.

What tools will the geographer of the future need to have?
In my opinion the skills or tools that a geographer of the future needs to have are assorted like GIS knowledge, environmental resource and planning concepts, cartography, math etc…

What is your favourite subject?

I don’t have a favorite subject right now like when I was youngest, it could be physical geography or GIS I’m think that’s my eternal problem not sure and I maybe, maybe not…

BBC learning english Task

In my opinion the web page of BBC is very slow because I tried to open and listen a little audio and it hold me up about thirty minutes, this is too bad because in this time we need more speed if we want to do more things, not only try to listen a little audio, like to read a text in this case the page is very important to study English specially to people like me.

The best part in this web is unquestionably the grammar and vocabulary link, because I can learn a lot of different topics that give me more and better knowledge to use in the real life practicing with the partners.

Resuming the BBC is a powerful tool for the students of English and is free!!! And only for this is a outstanding assistance to know English free, if only the speed of the web page was more faster…

Starcraft II

In october of the present year the most expected game of the year will be real, after ten years waiting for the best real strategy time(RTS)game and now in this site we can see some features about this great game, the first is about the principal character mr James Raynor.
James Raynor.
Jim Raynor was a Confederate marshal on Mar Sara at the time of the first zerg incursions on that world. Despite bravely fighting the alien aggressors and saving many lives, he was arrested by Confederacy forces on the pretext of destroying Confederate property at Backwater Station. When he was subsequently liberated by Arcturus Mengsk's Sons of Korhal, an anti-Confederate revolutionary group, Raynor chose to fight alongside them.Mengsk's hunger for power and his growing lack of scruples soon began to trouble Raynor. Eventually Mengsk's betrayal of his own lieutenant Sarah Kerrigan and his ruthless manipulation of the zerg to attack Confederacy-held worlds showed Raynor that Mengsk was no better than the oppressors he sought to overthrow. Raynor led a revolt within the ranks of the Sons of Korhal and seized Mengsk's personal flagship, the Hyperion, and a small fleet of ships. While attempting to rescue Kerrigan from the zerg planet Char, Raynor encountered protoss there and gained the respect of the valiant Executor Tassadar. Raynor's bluff honesty enabled him to forge a bond between Tassadar and the dark templar Zeratul.Raynor and his troops went on to fight alongside the protoss in several campaigns and played a key role in battling the United Earth Directorate incursion that followed. A twist of fate found Raynor temporarily allied with Arcturus Mengsk and the Queen of Blades, the being reforged from Sarah Kerrigan by the zerg Overmind. Although these two tyrants fought against a common foe, it was only a matter of time until their tenuous alliance collapsed. In the end Kerrigan was the one who turned against her erstwhile allies and struck the first blow, and many of Jim Raynor's comrades died to her treachery.Raynor escaped the massacre and vowed to have vengeance at some day in the future. Even so, against the full strength of the zerg Swarm and the vast psionic powers of the Queen of Blades, his chances seemed slender at best. Eventually, exhausted and disillusioned, Raynor returned to terran space to lead a resistance movement against the spreading power of Arcturus Mengsk's Terran Dominion. Over the years this fight hasn't gone well. Arcturus Mengsk has used his greatest weapons – oratory, the media, and propaganda – to marginalize Raynor's efforts.Raynor's Raiders remain public enemy number one to the powerful Terran Dominion. Mengsk sees Raynor's continuing existence as a challenge to his authority. However, Mengsk is also wary of creating a martyr by having Raynor assassinated, and so he has taken steps to keep Raynor and his followers constantly hunted and harried and deny them any chance to gain a respite and build their strength.Years of skirmishing with the inexhaustible resources of the Dominion has whittled down Raynor's forces to a shadow of their former selves. Raynor has had to resort to occasional mercenary work just to garner enough funds to repair and rearm in the short term. Keeping his outfit running means that additional mercenary jobs will likely be needed in the future. Freedom isn't free.Today Raynor seems to be losing faith: he's drinking heavily and blames himself for Kerrigan's being taken by the zerg. His hatred for Arcturus Mengsk has become a festering wound. Raynor's first officer, Matt Horner, still believes in him and in the revolution even though some of Raynor's doubts are spreading to his crew. Horner has done a lot to keep things going over the years, always having faith that Raynor's innate heroism will resurface and lead the rebels to victory.Raynor is a good leader and an excellent tactician although he lacks any formal training or background. He has learned his skills through experience, and so he is unfettered by preconceived notions of what "the book" says is the right or wrong approach. Raynor will seldom plan things out in very much depth, but he has an excellent ability to improvise and turn the tables in a situation by using whatever he has at hand.Raynor is also a man with a past. He is a known associate of notorious convict Tychus Findlay, the pair of them having served together in the 321st Colonial Rangers Battalion "Heaven's Devils" during the Confederacy/Kel-Morian Guild Wars almost twenty years ago. Their first meeting was in the brig at Camp McIntyre while serving 30 days apiece for insubordination. Both men were listed as missing in action for almost nine months after a reconnaissance mission into Kel-Morian territory in the latter stages of the fighting on Mar Sara. Findlay was later turned over to the Confederacy by the Kel-Morians as part of a prisoner exchange after hostilities ceased. He was promptly incarcerated for desertion under fire. Exactly how Raynor managed to avoid Findlay's fate and land a job as marshal is unknown..(Blizzard.com)
